Are we ready to hear how we start with the top cleaning supplies organization tips and tricks?!
I will say to be able to organize cleaning supplies can be the hardest thing that one can do. I have learned that as someone who LOVES to buy and try different cleaning supplies. So over the past few years, I have been able to really eliminate the need for a junk closet and be able to organize cleaning supplies in an efficient and clever way!
Cleaning Supplies Organization
Cleaning Supplies Organization Hacks step 1:
Can this be a thing in every home and/or apartment in the world? No, but I do wish! I think that you can make space for things in your home but I do think a cleaning supply closet can change the game. I think it is something that may not be a full blown closet, but maybe you have a cabinet where you can store all of your cleaning. So how to organize cleaning supplies closet? I would use all of these tips and tricks and implement them into your cleaning supply. Such as using a microfiber towels bin, or having command strips to hang your cleaning tools and supplies up can also be beneficial.
Laundry Bin Sorter – AMAZON
This has been the biggest life changer organizing product for me! I think it is even better if you have several people in your household. I would use one three bin sorter for each closet. So for me, I like to separate my whites, my delicates, and then the darks in these bins. However, you really can do whatever you want and how you want to sort it out. I think it all depends on what you are looking for.
Microfiber Towels Bin
I have used this bin pretty much every single time I have to use my microfiber. I like to use microfiber towels to do my dusting, wiping, and overall cleaning. As soon as one is “done” being used, I will throw it in a bin. The bin is in my laundry room’s cabinet. So at the end of the week, I will just throw the bin contents in the washer and call it a day! It is super easy to keep all of my towels in one spot and having it very organized. You do not even have to search through your towels for it and it is all in one place!
Command Hooks
Command hooks for everything is a must to be able to organize your cleaning supplies. I have seen them used in cabinets. I will link some examples and also include them right here. You can put your cleaning gloves, any other cleaning supplies that can be hungable behind the cabinet as well.
Cleaning Supplies Organizer Caddy
The best thing ever is this caddy… you can get one or two caddies from dollar tree. Put in your main cleaning supplies in this bin, you can use a few of your multi-purpose sprays, a few towels, etc. Whatever you may need and you use for your deep cleaning and/or your every day cleaning, you can put in this caddy! I think it is a great way for storing cleaning supplies and also when you are actually cleaning and being able to take the caddy with you as you are walking around the house.
Under the Kitchen Sink Organization Ideas
I can probably write an entire post on under the kitchen sink organization ideas… but I am going to save that for later. I want to give you a few main tips on how to organize under the kitchen sink. These are just some examples of what you can do to organize under that sink! You do not have to use all of these in order to organize those cleaning supplies.
- Grab three main bins
- Divide by room (kitchen dish soaps, dusters for overall, and misc)
- Lazy Susans
- Clear Drawers
- Sponges can go here, extras of everything in one bin can also work
Hang Cleaning Tools
I have so many cleaning tools that I use here and there but here are some main cleaning tools that I am talking about: swiffers, mop handles, dusters, brooms, etc.
The list can go on but the best way to do this is to hang them up in your laundry room if you have space. If you do NOT have space for this, I would hang them up behind a closet door. This can be wherever you find space, ideally that perfect cleaning closet you have…(HA) Anyway, I would not use command strips for this unless you absolutely have to. I would use more durable hooks behind the door even those behind the door organizers is perfect for this. You do not have to hang them up permanently.
Labels – cleaning supplies organization
Labels will only be useful if you are crazy like me and literally get all of the cleaning supplies you possibly can to try and use. You can use different labels for even different home items in your house. Such as cleaning supplies, cleaning tools, cleaning extras, laundry room supplies, bathroom cleaning supplies, etc. The list can go on and on. I would suggest using these if you do have a bigger space and are able to invest in more cleaning supplies.
Rolling Carts
Instead of a caddy, or you can do both, you can also use a rolling cart to be able to store all of your cleaning supplies and tools. This will help with storage because of the minimization of space that it is able to do. I think you can also find a space for it to throw in a closet/room or whatever. Here are some great cleaning supply rolling carts examples;
You do not have to only organize cleaning supplies in this closet or cabinet, or whatever you may have. You are going to accumulate a lot of cleaning supplies and tools that you may need every few months. This may be mainly for home owners, but here are some examples:
- Swiffer Duster Refills
- Hardware tools
- Air Filters
- Steamer/Iron
- Vacuum Accessories
- Extra cleaning supplies basically
All of these are the ways that have worked for me for cleaning supplies organization. Of course this is going to be a different case scenario for everyone…all depending on different homes and your lifestyle, how many people are living with you, how many times you are cleaning, etc. So adjust it to your own life and home and get it done!
