Cheap Home Decor Stores
I have a passion for home decor as you can probably see in this entire blog! I am someone who needs different home decor items in my house. Whether or not it is trendy home decor, I just want to be able to get cheap home decor items in my house without spending a lot. Especially, because I am someone who likes to change out my home decor depending on seasons or just me haha!
So this post is going to be where I have found my best affordable cheap home decor items in these cheap home decor stores! Get creative!! That is probably my first top advice, is to make sure that you get creative when you are shopping for home decor items.
1. H&M HOME
I have been pleasantly surprised with H&M home store because of what the price point is and what they offer. I am all for the H&M Basics for clothes, but they have definitely stepped up their game for their home section. These are the links to some of my best finds that I have found the best bang for your buck!!
2. TARGET
Okay…so I know a lot of people may disagree with Target being part of my cheap home decor stores. However, I really think that when you are looking for the best cheap home decor items and you want it to not look like it is cheap. This is the best place to go. I am going to talk about some other places I would go to before Target.

3. ROSS
I think if you are looking for anything specific for your home decor collection or just home essentials, I would go to Ross first. When I moved into my first home, I needed all of the basics, right? I needed a laundry bin, a lime squeezer, and just silverware.
Those are just some home essentials I can think of right now. I would say 8 times out of 10 if you go to Ross before you go to Target/Walmart/or any other cheap home decor store, you are going to find it cheaper at Ross! It is almost a guarantee. I will say that you need to do a lot of digging in Ross. It is not going to be quite as organized as a Target home decor section, however it is worth it! You can get towels, pillows, blankets, plates, bowls, candles, etc. I can go on and on about the different cheap home decor items you can get it at this store. And it is worth going in almost every time when you are shopping for home decor!
4. WALMART
Walmart is another hidden gem these days! Especially for affordable cheap home decor items! I think that walmart always gets a bad rep, but seriously once you start to dig in at Walmart, you are going to really get some great hidden treasures. Most of the items here will be affordable (I think). This is another store that can surprise you as you roam around it. They have defnitely improved their game as time has gone on. And I will say the prices for most items are very reasonable and may be the best you can find!!
5. Goodwill
Goodwill…who does not know what goodwill is? If you are from outside of the states or maybe you just have never popped in to a Goodwill, then you are definitely in for a treat! It is a great thrift store that needs the most digging possible.
**I will also make a disclaimer for this affordable home decor store hack, that you should probably check out local thrift stores and Goodwill if you really want to find the best deals on home decor items on a budget!
Goodwill can also increase prices sometimes for no reason. I think that can be a downfall, but most people will donate their treasures to Goodwill. It all depends on your city, really and the thrifting “vibes.” Check out Goodwill for great cheap home decor items, definitely.
6. DOLLAR TREE
I will have to say…dollar tree you have really improved as time has also gone on. A few years ago I did a pantry organization project from Dollar Tree.
I had to spray paint everything in black because back then, the colors offered were white, blue, green, red, etc. I wanted a cleaner, more matte look. Point of the story is that you can find some great home organization finds at Dollar Tree. You can also find some cheaper options for glasses, mugs, random home decor things that you find as well. I have found a makeup brush cleaner there fore a $1! I think it is definitely worth checking into when you have just moved into a new home or a new apartment.
7. Home Good & TJ Maxx
I am going to link these two together just because they are owned by the same company. I would probably rate this to be the third or fourth best place as part of cheap and affordable home decor stores. This is one of those places where you also have to dig in. Home Goods is great for all home essentials and at a discounted place. You can find some great furniture pieces here that are unique. Also, the best place to find a HUGE FLOOR MIRROR!! Wow, I love all of their mirror selections at any time that I go. I have gotten a few from there under $100 which is next to impossible, these days.
8. CB2
I did not want to add this store because it is not always the best affordable option for home decor. However, I will say some of the items are reasonably priced. I think that some of the pieces have quality as well and that is what you are paying for. Like, if you are looking for a trendy item, I would go to Target or CB2 to find those affordable trendy home decor pieces! It is definitely somewhere that everyone needs to look at when they are looking to invest into pieces.
9. Overstock & Wayfair
I am also going to link these two together because they are the online portion of affordable home decor stores. This is the best place to find furniture items EVER. I have found most of the pieces I want for my house at Overstock & Wayfair. For example, my sectional couch that was only $1300! It was a great investment piece that is still holding up after 2 years! You can find entry tables, coffee tables, basically all of the big home furniture pieces at these websites for a much lower price. It is great to look at if you are looking for a trendy dupe. Affordable home decor stores are out there. And all you really need to do is focus on getting out there and exploring. Especially when you are trying to figure out your home decor theme and aesthetic, you really want to go look and shop around. I have to say I would rather go in stores than online when I am not sure on what exactly I am looking for.
This is the best way to do it in the beginning. Because I would buy so many furniture pieces, cheap room decor, home decor and I would have to return it when it would come in the mail! It was a pain because of shipping. I just never knew how it would actually look until it actually got here basically! Find those home decor stores near me on google and just go start shopping!! Window shopping at its finest, if I say so myself!
