Whether you are moving into an apartment, buying a house, or whatever the case may be, it can be super hard to start to plan to decorate your dining room. These are my top 5 tips on giving you the casual dining room ideas to decorate for 2021.
1. CHOOSE A DINING ROOM TABLE –
The hardest part for me was choosing a dining room table because it really is your main statement of the dining room. In my opinion, a light wood/dark wood table is perfect for any type of home decor style you may have. This way, you have a simple canvas to work on as well. Here is an example of a simple wood dining table.
Genuinely, LOVE this dining table and I wish I would have chosen this one. Maybe one day I will switch it out. I love the statement piece of the legs as well.
2. STATEMENT DINING TABLE CHAIRS
You can choose either route in my opinion. I think just making sure that you choose either statement dining table or have statement chairs, if you really want to invest in your dining room. Now, either or, they both are super pricey and can be expensive to replace. So I would focus on neutral colors which is what I will talk about next!

Obviously, those are super expensive and not budget friendly. I am just giving an example of some statement dining chairs.
Here are some budget friendly ones and are SO beautiful. It has a more formal vibe than casual, but you can make it work to your taste.
3. CHOOSE THEME COLORS – CASUAL DINING ROOM IDEAS
If you have read any other of my blog posts, you should know that I LOVE neutral colors and I preach about it in each room. A few casual dining room ideas will depend on your theme colors and what you have chosen. This can mean all browns, blacks, whites, etc. You may want to use a pop of color in a art canvas instead… Whatever it may be, just use theme colors that YOU are comfortable with and not Pinterest 😉
4. CHOOSE GREENERY IF POSSIBLE
I have a bay window in my dining room. I will insert a picture down. So I got lucky to where I did get an indoor fiddle leaf plant and that is the perfect casual dining room ideas vibe you may be looking for. If you like the neutral colors, but want a pop of color without adding PINK (not that anything is wrong with pink). I think greenery adds that subtle color in your dining room, living room, etc…without being a pop of color that is harsh.
5. NEUTRAL WALL ART/CASUAL GALLERY WALL!!!
You probably need wall art no matter what kind of dining room you may have. A casual dining room ideas vibe: gallery wall. It makes it super personal and also has all of the casual vibes. I have seen some great ideas on Pinterest, and I am hoping to do one eventually in my home! I will maybe make a post about that later 😉
