We want trends that are classic and timeless because we do not want to get rid of our bedding every other year because the trend has gone away. I am going to really break the TRENDIEST luxury bedrooms 2022 has shown us and what we can build on our beds to give it that “hotel” feel. I hope you know exactly what i am talking about…so let’s get into my ULTIMATE bedding 2022 guide.
I am going to also make this as affordable as possible because I know that we want it to look CHIC on a budget and get some trends in bedding ideas.

Headboard Trends 2022
I will start with what I think may be the best headboard styles that I have seen. Like I said, we want to be classic and timeless as well and not just ‘trendy.” We want to be able to use these bedding items for a few years and be able to switch them back and forth as well.
Here is my bed frame linked that is in the picture above. (The one I have is sold out…this is very similar and half the price). I think it is a great trendy bedroom furniture piece that is simple and can really give the basic main furniture in your room where you are able to go a lot more crazier around that bed frame. Basically, if you want to go simple on your bed, you are able to really get crazy around.

So we are going to build our bed from the bottom up for this portion of bedding trends 2022. INVEST IN PILLOWS!! I did not know how important it can be to invest in pillows until I saw the difference. Here is the one I have but I am going to probably try to invest a bit more.
Do not forget that we spend 30% of our life sleeping…so we should invest in these bedding items that will make us feel comfortable.

Focus on Quality!!
This is something I am realizing more and more in my 20’s. Buying cheaper material things will have an impact in the longer run because they just won’t last that long!
Layers
Layers have become the most ideal part of a lot of home decor “trends.” But I think this also comes into fact that this is NOT just a trend, we need layers for our bedrooms, living rooms, etc. It gives it the fullness look!!

Pure Neutral Colors
I think this has become the normal now days is to have pure neutral colors in the bedding area in ANY room of your home. Now why is this the trend?I think using patterns can be great for a lot of different reasons but
I can also link my gray and black nightstand here. This just added a lot more dimension to the room because I was able to mix in a texture and then different colors of wood. This is like the best bedroom decor ideas I can give you. Mixing in colors, textures, new furniture with old makes a room more cozier and gives it character of who you are.

Texture in Bedroom Decor
Adding in different texture is what can help make your bedroom feel cozier. You can use a knit blanket, a linen bed, and add in some different textures in your furniture as well. You do not have to add a lot of texture to make a big difference. But I do think that you should be able to use even one texture to elevate your bedroom!
Neutral Color Palettes
Adding in a few neutral colors and picking them from the start is a good idea to start when you are decorating in your bedroom. Make sure you plan about 3-6 colors that you want to go together and are also something that you look good together
Plan Digitally
I used to think this would never make any difference. However, if I would go back, I would add in furniture pieces, colors, rugs, etc. on a blank Canva template before. This is probably my first main tip. It will make you look at the room before you buy everything and hate it all. Because I have done that…like a lot HAH.
I think that if you have the budget, you should invest in custom curtains. If not, I think it may be best to explore options. These curtains are such a good buy from Target (budget-friendly). They are in my office and are great for room darkening and is a perfect master bedroom ideas.

9. Vintage (Looking) or Real Rugs for your Bedroom
Do not get me wrong, I LOVE to use www.rugsusa.com or rugs.com. Whatever it may be. I also have an entire post on neutral rugs that are perfect for master bedrooms, living rooms, and all of that. But here are some of my more investment rugs from etsy that are vintage and look so beautiful. I have one from Etsy so far and I do think that slowly I will incorporate a lot of these Turkey Vintage Rugs in my home to make it look more authentic.

wood Flooring
Wood flooring is something I wish I can add to EVERY bedroom in my house. It is super important to me, but this is also a personal preference. If it is not worth it and it may be a temporary home, then there is no need for wood flooring. However, I do think adding in a vintage rug just looks a lot better in a bedroom with wood flooring.
Lamps
Whether you use floor lamps and/or lamps on the nightstands, make sure it is a good enough size for the piece of furniture. The lamp should be long enough to only give about 4 inches on each side of the nightstand. If you use a small enough lamp, you are going to have a less mature look of your furniture in your bedroom, living room, or anywhere else.
