Kitchen organization and storage is one of the key elements that will help you decide what kind of kitchen experience you are going to have. Even if you may not cook, these are things you need to make your kitchen experience go by smoother!
Make sure to only think about getting these products that are most useful and practical for YOUR life. I like to reiterate that a lot, but seriously do not get an entire new container set for your refrigerator if you are not going to use it! It is important to focus on what you actually need and will save you time and money in the long run!

Kitchen Trash Can
The perfect kitchen trash can is the one where you do not touch it! ALSO, if you have space for it and can DIY it, get a cabinet trash can where you hide your trash can in a cabinet instead of having the trash can out. Such a great way of hiding smell and hiding an ugly trash can. I will definitely be doing this for my next home!
Pantry Storage Containers
I have an entire post on this and I think it is beneficial for everyone to organize their pantry! I think even if you do not cook, you will have a semi decent sized pantry! It is important to make sure that the pantry is always organized and the way you would like!

Silverware Organizer
You can get this one (EXPANDABLE) or you can also go to your local Ross, HomeGoods, Target, and get something sometimes cheaper! It is worth a try!
Cooking Utensils Bin
I have seen a lot of creative ideas for this! I like to use a plant pot instead that is cuter sometimes rather than a regular stainless steel one.
Kitchen Storage Shelves
This is all about what type of kitchen you have and how much storage you actually have. I would love to get these cup shelves where you are able to stack up more cups, glasses, dishes, etc. I think it is perfect for any size of a kitchen and especially when you are like me trying to buy everything you find cute for your kitchen!
Spice Racks
There are multiple places that you can buy these from. I have this small spice shelf for my cabinet. It just made the most sense for me since I am someone who loves to try out new spices and I can see all of them here. If I ever have more space, then I would definitely get this spice rack where you organize all of your jars and have their own little space for it. Maybe if I have the time and space one day!
Cabinet Organizers
This is something that is so good for small cabinets when you have multiple pots and pans. I got an entire set when I moved in my home and I think that this organizer is the best one yet! It lets you slide in and out and makes your pots look and feel organized! Get it! It will change your life!!
Cabinet Turntables
An absolute must for most cabinets!! I think these are like the coolest things ever because of how much you can fit on a turntable??! Wow, what a great buy and idea! Usually, Walmart and Target will have some of the cheaper options.
Here is Lazy Susan but with two tiers! Great idea for spices or even a medicine caibet!
Tupperware Kitchen Organizer
Okay, I was definitely hesitant on this one, because who has the time to do this. But I am constantly loosing lids and Tupperware so I tried it out. I think it is a great idea instead of having everything just flying around in your Tupperware cabinet. I do not think it is an absolutely necessity, but if you find it on sale, get it!
Under the Sink Organizer
Multiple ideas you can do for this one! You can either get two baskets and put cleaning products and separate like that.
I also would think about getting a caddy that you can move around your home when you are cleaning and storing it here or in a cleaning closet.
OR! You can get this type of under the sink organizer where it is like the pot/pan organizer that slides in and out.
This is an inexpensive alternative from Target!
Refrigerator Organizers
Here me out on this one…I do not think that these are necessary. I think putting eggs in a carton look cute, yes. But do we really need to organize EVERYTHING in our life?! I do not think so! I think it would be great to have, but you have to realize you are going to be the one washing your produce every week and organizing it. As if, grocery shopping is not a long enough process!
I would just focus on having sections in your fridge instead. Have an entire row of sodas, eggs, milks, etc. Just do not do this because it is all over TikTok! I think that is highly unnecessary!
Knife Set
Invest in a nice knife set. There are some great brands at Target and Costco! I like to use this one from Target and they have been holding up for over a year! Usually knives like these will come in a wooden block, perfect for organization on your countertop!
These are expensive but these are so great and worth the money. Things like these will last you awhile!
Drying Racks
The perfect Drying Rack is this one from here. I found this at Marshalls for $20! Seriously it is a great find and something that will last you a long time. Just check all of your local home stores for this dupe! It is great because the water from the dishes will flow through that little tunnel.
Local Home Stores: ROSS (ALWAYS FIRST, CHEAPEST OPTION), HomeGoods, Target, Walmart, Marshalls, TJ Maxx,
Dog Food Organizer
Not applicable to all of us, but here is a good dog food organizer from petco that I use. It seal up the food so that it is not stale or dry! And it should fit in your pantry. If not, you can find different sizes based on how big your pantry is!
Miscellaneous Kitchen Storage Organizers
Labels for your pantry organizers, or any other type of product that may end up confusing at the end of the day.
Glass Food Organizers you can use these for your counter top or pantry, whichever has more space in your kitchen storage. These containers are perfect for rice, beans, cereal, etc!
Salt and Pepper Grinders – such a good Christmas gift as well! An electric salt and pepper grinder you can use for food on the table and for cooking!
Coasters – A must have for your kitchen and dining table!
Napkin Holder – This is great for paper towels and even getting a napkin holder to make sure you have a space for it in your kitchen and that it is easy to access.
Wine Rack – I found this cool wine rack for my kitchen from Ikea. I am going to try to find it, but it is great for apartment kitchens since it goes right under your kitchen cabinet organization!
(I could not find the IKEA one for $5 so go there first if you also cannot find it!!!)
Glass Food Containers – If you are like me and lose tupperware then maybe you should not invest in expensive food containers, but if you still want to here are some I found on Amazon. Such a good deal honestly for how many come with!
Mug Hook set – Perfect for apartment kitchen!
Spice Rack! – cheaper spice rack from Amazon!
And that being said….
Finally, hope this post helped you think about all of the things you need to organize your kitchen! Some of these are the essentials for kitchen organization and storage. However, I will say that you do NOT need everything on this list. Make it comfortable for your home and how you live! Some of us cook a lot, some of us only cook for one or two, etc! Just make sure you are getting things that are actually practical for your life and home!
PSA: (ANOTHER ONE) Make sure you go to thrift stores, Ross, etc and look for kitchen organizational and storage products and ideas. There really is an infinite amount that you can use and I think it is worth the multiple trips to get what you are looking for or not looking for, but that will actually change your life!
Good luck!
